In 2374, Walters and 34 other members of the elite Red Squad embarked on a training cruise aboard the U.S.S. Valiant under the command of Captain Ramirez. The ship became caught behind enemy lines when the Dominion war broke out and the senior officers were killed in battle. Before he died, Ramirez turned command over to cadet Tim Watters. Acting Commander Watters defied the odds and kept the ship intact for eight months in Dominion-held territory. Watters was a charismatic leader and the rest of the elite group of cadets followed him loyally, failing to see serious errors in Watter’s judgement. On stardate 51825.4, he and most of his crew were killed and the Valiant destroyed when Watters took the ship on an impossible mission to single-handedly destroy a massive Dominion battleship. Giotto in TOS The Devil in the Dark.

He found out that the position of her baby was putting pressure on her sciatic nerve. He refused to ease the pain or let her take a day off. Instead he sent her back to her post. Kes was quite annoyed by the EMH's lack of compassion. VOY Tattoo. She was considering naming her child after her Ktarian husband, Greskrendtregk. Other possible names were Cameron, Frederick, or Sural. VOY Dreadnought. When Tom Paris was late for his shift in 2372, he lied that he was delayed because Ensign Wildman had went into labour. Wildman stopped by at sickbay for her weekly prenatal visit when Vidiian doctor Danara Pel was being treated in sickbay. VOY Lifesigns. VOY Deadlock. VOY Basics, Part 2. After returning from a meeting with the Tak Tak, Capt. Janeway and Neelix realised that the whole crew had disappeared. They searched Ensign Wildman's quarters for clues because they had detected a com-signal in there. "Elogium" co-writer Jimmy Diggs named the character in honour of Samantha Wildman, a very special girl who lived in Florida. When tragedy struck, taking Samantha's life at the age of only seven, her parents donated Samantha's kidneys for transplantation, saving the life of Digg's wife, Linnette. Diggs learned that the real Samantha loved animals, so he made her namesake the head of the Voyager's xenobiology department.
